Top 10 Dangerous Dog Breeds

Top ten dangerous dogs,

All dogs can be potentially dangerous, however some dogs are more dangerous than others, this can lead from bad ownership or just a flick of a switch. This is why it is important to Train your dog in socialisation and proper care can make a significant impact, however some dogs are by years of breeding made more aggressive. After in depth research and analysing into the studies performed by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the CDC, and the Humane Society of the United States, we have listed the top ten most likly to be dangerous dog breeds.

This is however not definate proof.

What can help?

Dog training tips.

In order for your dog to improve on social skills, you will need to train your dog.

Teaching your dog sit, you should take his leash tightly and push him down on the hindquarters. After this say: “Sit” authoritatively. If the dog doesn't obey, push him down harder. But don't be very aggressive, following this dog training tip, if the dog won't fulfill your command. Remember, you have to be very patient, because the main aim of the basic dog training is to become a friend for your dog.

Other dog training tips are about how to learn your dog to obey the command “Stay”. You should to unstrap the collar and walk away, pronouncing this command. At first time do this inside your house, in order that the dog doesn't run away. The dog training tip, during the training your dog to follow the command “Come”, is that you should walk along with him and saying this order. After that go aside and, repeating the command, invite your dog waffing your hands. Another dog training tip will help you to train your dog the command “Bow”. Put your dog in the sitting position and while pressing him with care, just behind his head, say this command. But he shouldn't lie down, only bow. Don't forget the basic dog training tip – to praise your dog with something tasty or just saying him approval words, if he does everything right.

The following dog training tip may be useful for you if your dog bites. It's natural for dogs, but if your dog doesn't distinguish the things that he shouldn't bite, use the next dog training tip. You should punish the dog immediately after the accident, otherwise he will not understand the reason of your disapproval. So the dog training tip in this case is that you hold the dog's mouth shut and tell him not to bite. After several times he will stop to do this. The basic dog training tip, while you are training the dog not to do something, is that you mustn't praise the dog after the punishment, otherwise the dog will thinks that is what you want and continue to do the unacceptable things.

Follow the main dog training tip and train your dog every day even if you don't have much time. You will achieve the success, training the dog during 15 minutes every day, than for 4 hours once a week.

This is a good site for information, however very debatable on Top Ten dangerous dogs. I think it all depends on the upbringing of the dog. Any way a good blog on dangerous dogs.

A dogs breed is not the #1 factor in it being aggressive. The key factor is it's owner. We need to stop blaming breeds saying they are dangorous, it's the owner. True some breeds are bread to be protective, doesn't make them dangerous if placed with a responsible owner. Also I resent the fact that pit bulls are listed #1 on yor list. It is true that pit bulls do have a tendancy to be dog agressive but that is 100% diffrent from human aggression. Most "pit bull" attacks aren't even from real pit bulls, pit bull isn't even an actual breed it is a type of dog. Dogs such as the American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Bull Terrier are bread to have NO human agression at all.

Why are there no little dogs on the list? I've lived & grown up around these listed breeds. The small dog breeds can be just as agressive. I agree, it's the way a breed has been broughtup & handled that make's it an agressive dog.

It is irresponsible blogs, post and media that encourage breedisim. Way to perpetuate false information and feed the masses with your poor information. The CDC even admitted their study was incomplete and was not an accurate assessment of dangerous dogs. The actual #1 dog in the research were unknown breed dogs. So if you insist on making statements involving which dogs are dangerous, we would all be better served if you talked about the chained dog, the starved dog, the abused dog, the untrained dog, the free roaming dog, the un-neutered dog and the owners who do these things then claim "my dog would never hurt a fly".

It seems to me that little to no actual research was done when writing this hub. Most is based on myths and opinions not actual facts and statistics. Until us humans stop blaming lesser creatures and start putting the responsibility where it belongs incidents will continue to happen. A dog's breed doesn't make it inherently dangerous. Lack of training, lack of research, irresponsible ownership, abuse, and neglect is what leads to aggression. Look up the American Temperament Testing statistics, I think you will be surprised to find that pit bull type dogs pass with higher percents than most "family" dogs.
